Humane Bird Control & Exclusion

Nuisance birds nest in vents, eaves, and signage, damaging structures and creating health-risk droppings. We deploy netting, spike systems, and vent guards to deter and exclude birds long-term without harming protected species.

Bird Control in North Alabama

What's included

  • Vent and soffit guard installation
  • Netting and spike systems
  • Nesting-material removal and cleanup
  • Protected-species-aware approach

How the job runs

  1. Inspection. We walk the property — roofline, soffits, ridge vents, foundation, crawlspace — and identify entry points and animal sign.
  2. Removal. Live trapping, one-way exclusion devices, or hand-removal — whatever the species and situation call for.
  3. Sealing. Heavy-gauge wire mesh, metal flashing, or replacement materials so the entry stays closed for years, not weeks.
  4. Cleanup. Droppings, nesting material, and contaminated insulation handled with the right gear and disposal.
  5. Follow-up. We come back to confirm the exclusion held and address anything missed.

Why call us, not a generic pest company

Most pest companies set bait stations and walk away. Wildlife is different — it requires understanding animal behavior, building construction, and federal/state regulations on protected species. After forty years, we know which entry points the next mother will find before she finds it.

What you should know about bird control

Biology & Behavior

Starlings and sparrows nest in dryer vents, bathroom exhausts, and gable louvers. Pigeons roost on signage, ledges, and HVAC equipment. Woodpeckers drum on cedar and pine siding.

Seasonal Pattern

Nesting Mar–Aug. Outside that window is the optimal exclusion period. Protected-species nests cannot be disturbed mid-season without permits.

Alabama & Federal Regulations

Most native birds (including chimney swifts and woodpeckers) are protected under the federal Migratory Bird Treaty Act; non-natives like European starlings, English sparrows, and feral pigeons are not.

See our full guide to Alabama wildlife removal regulations for the legal framework that governs this work.

Disease & Safety Risks

Histoplasmosis, cryptococcosis, and salmonellosis from accumulated droppings. Commercial cleanup is PPE-mandatory.

When contamination is involved, see our attic restoration process — that's how we leave the space safe to live with.

Materials We Actually Use

Bird netting (3/4" mesh for sparrows, 1.5" for pigeons), stainless spike strips, vent guards, electric-track for high-density commercial sites.
